I feel like a 'Gag Rewrite' would fit well with the original poster's idea to have it cost the same as the Toon Rewrite and Name Rewrite. The game would need to have a checker to remove the gag trees that match the gag track, etc, etc. I'm now thinking of the other bugs that could occur with this that are not directly connected to the player themselves, such as Gag Trees. (It would have to remove all the player's gags from that track, then change the EXP for the track to 0, THEN remove the track in order to ensure that if they were to switch back it wouldn't have the EXP still.) The only difference now is that I'm thinking less about the way that the game removes it. Oh! I completely forgot about the commands they use in TTOff and such, but I still can see the gags being removed as a very dangerous thing to code. that wouldn't be so much of a problem if the game wasn't so heavy about how important your choice of gag tracks is otherwise it'd diminish your choice of gag track earlier on, you can just say 'oh it doesn't matter, i'll just change it a bunch of times later'. I think this should be a one-time thing, maybe. i don't think it'd be incredibly hard, though. completing gag track training just modifies that variable, i would assume? but i don't know the specifics of removing a track, and giving you another one starting at 0 exp. you can change this pretty easily with said dev commands, on the fly, as far as i know. I guess the toontask could be split into two so that the 'reward' of one task is choosing a track to remove, and then completing that task would give you another with the 'reward' to choose your replacement gag track. The problem with that is the fact that it doesn't cover the deletion of the original track you wanted to remove.

One way around it I can think of is having it so that when you purchase the gag track change you can get a toontask to visit- let's just say Flippy at the Toon Hall- and talk to him about changing your gag track in order to 'unlock' the new gag track.

The coding for this stuff is a lot harder than most players think. Now, I will say that I am not an expert at Panda 3D (the game's engine) and how it handles that kind of stuff, but I'm feeling very positive that this would happen. This, in turn, would cause your inventory to bug and freak out that you somehow lost all your EXP on one track, and removed the ability to use those gags, while giving you another gag track entirely. The game as it is coded right now might not recognize just a simple change to the gags you have, and want to go through the gag track training for it.This would also prevent bugs with changing gag types in the middle of getting a new track (which could potentially be the same gag they switched to). The best way to remove that thought is to limit it to players that have gotten all of their gag tracks done. Coding the game to recognize this would be a MAJOR undertaking and in the meantime, newer players that would become obsessed with changing it to lure instead of drop without exploring the potential of drop more (or vice-versa) could potentially become a problem as well. They would have only had the options between Sound V.S. This would have to be something you get after you finish getting all the gag tracks you possibly can.įor an example of why this should be: If someone is going through Daisy's Garden and somehow gets to having enough JB to buy this, a major coding problem would be limiting them to their previous options.
